Questions about working with Traittek
Straight answers to the questions worth asking before working with Traittek. They cover who it is for, what you own, and what the company does not promise.
Getting started
Who is Traittek for?
The services are for two groups, equally. One is businesses whose systems need to change, connect, grow or be supported. The other is founders and individual investors with an idea and their own budget.
Is a small project or a founder's first product welcome?
Yes. A founder's first product is as welcome as a change to an established system. If a simpler tool would serve you better, such as a hosted website builder for a few pages, we would say so.
How do I start?
Use the enquiry form on the contact page, or write to info@traittek.com. Either way, describe the problem or the idea in your own words.
What should I put in an enquiry?
The problem or the idea, the systems involved, and any constraints you already know about. The more concrete it is, the more useful the first reply should be. Plain words are fine; you do not need a specification.
Do I need to know which service I want?
No. Choose General enquiry in the form and describe the situation. We would suggest which of the nine services fits, or say if none does.
Ownership and handover
Do I own the code?
Yes. Everything we build is yours: the code, the repository, the domain and the accounts it runs on. Ownership would be set out in the proposal rather than assumed.
What does owning the repository mean in practice?
The repository holds the code and the history of every change to it. It would sit in an account you control, so you can give another developer access without asking us.
Who holds the domain and the hosting accounts?
You do: the domain and the accounts the work runs on, such as hosting, cloud or app store accounts, should be in your name. Where we need access, you would grant it and could remove it.
What would a handover include?
As proposed: the code in your repository, documentation of how it runs and how to change it, access records, and a handover to your team. The aim is that it keeps running whether or not we stay involved.
Can Traittek stay involved after the handover?
That can be discussed, for example as a maintenance arrangement. Either way, you should be able to end it without the system breaking.
Scope, price and promises
Why are there no prices or timelines on the site?
Both depend on scope, and scope would only become clear once we had read what exists and agreed a first change. A figure on a web page would read as a promise made before anyone understood the work. Any price or schedule would be set out in writing for the specific job.
Do you guarantee response times or results?
No. Nothing on this site promises response times, cover hours, availability or outcomes. For ongoing operations, hours and response expectations would be agreed in the contract. If guaranteed cover is essential, a provider whose whole model is a staffed help desk is the better fit.
Is Traittek an SAP partner?
No. Traittek claims no SAP partnership, reseller status or certification. Its confirmed SAP experience covers SAP PI, SAP BI, SAP CRM, SAP TSW, SAP technical development and enterprise application integration. For a full SAP implementation, choose a firm that implements SAP as its main business.
Does Traittek hold any certifications?
None are claimed: the site states no vendor certifications, partner tiers or compliance certifications. If your work needs a specific one, raise it in your enquiry, and we would answer plainly.
What kind of work would you turn down?
We would turn down work we could only do by learning at your expense, and work that needs guaranteed cover. The same goes for work another kind of firm would do better, such as a full SAP implementation. Each service page lists its own cases, with where to go instead.
The company
Where is Traittek based?
Traittek is based in Edmond, Oklahoma, USA, with its office at 12950 Big Sky Dr, Edmond, Oklahoma 73025.
Is there a phone number?
No phone line is published, so enquiries are answered by email, whether they arrive through the enquiry form or at info@traittek.com.
Who are Traittek's partners?
Two partner organizations: Buretsol LLC in Chantilly, Virginia, USA, and TrioFlare Solutions Private Limited in Hyderabad, India. These are partner locations, not Traittek offices, and what each partnership covers is not published.
Are the names on the Clients page current clients?
They are listed as legacy references, not as current work. The names were carried over from Traittek's earlier website, and no scope, dates or outcomes are known for them.
What does the Traittek logo mean?
It reads from idea to end product. The lower-left anchor is the idea, and the upper-right anchor is the end product. The stepped line between them is the route: considered, turning and rising rather than straight.
